Mombasa and the Indian Ocean Coast
The Kenyan coastline has some great places to spend time and plenty of water activities to do including dhow cruises, scuba-diving, snorkelling and deep sea fishing. It is well worth spending a few days in Mombasa and the beaches of Diani and Nyali.
Sitting scenically on the south-eastern coastline of Kenya, Mombasa is the country’s second largest city and a majorly popular visitor destination. If you are doing volunteer work in Kenya it is worth considering taking a break and enjoy the Indian Ocean coastline and beaches and the city of Mombasa.
The city has a rich history as a major port on the east African peninsula, Mombasa today is a diverse port city with a wide range of languages, ethnicities and religions manifesting throughout its diverse population.
